We are on a heart healthy journey. Our goal is to include more plant-based foods and lean protein sources into our meals. The big idea is not to become vegetarian, we are just making sure the majority of the ingredients in our meals are plant-based. This could mean adding more vegetables to your dishes or preparing your food with our healthy olive oils.
Could weight loss be a side effect with this new lifestyle? Absolutely, yes. Every week we will post meal plans that are delicious AND good for you. These meals will not leave you feeling restricted and hungry. During this first week, the meal plan included Chicken Cacciatore, Greek Pasta Salad with Cucumbers and Artichoke Hearts, Spicy Roasted Red Pepper Hummus and a Tomato, Cucumber & White Bean Salad with Basil Vinaigrette. These meals are not boring and they are packed with flavor! The weekly selections will offer up a wide variety of food choices. During this challenge-on each and every Friday and throughout the weekend-we will serve a dish from the meal plan in both of our stores for sampling. Each Friday will feature a different dish from that particular plan of the week!
